A Corp Lab in NTU is looking for a motivated Research Scientist to conduct cutting-edge research in the topic of "
Green Cloud Computing"
.
Key Responsibilities:

• Developing physics-based and data-driven models to characterize dynamics of the interconnected data center systems, including computing, cooling and electric supply;
  
• Developing optimization algorithms to minimize carbon usage subject to certain system constraints;
  
• Supervising junior graduate students;
  
• Writing technical reports, including papers, patents and technical disclosures;
  
• Working closelywith team members/engineers and assist in developing new features;
  
• Ensuring responsiveness of applications;
  
• Diagnosing the issue and resolving it on demand.

Job Requirements:

• PhD Degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, control and science engineering, information system or a related discipline;
  
• Strong researchrecord, preferably on top-tier computer science/engineering conferences or journals;
  
• Proficiency with Python and relevant packages, like NumPy, Pandas, PyTorch or Tensorflow;
  
• Experience in other programming languages, like C/C++, MATLAB
• Excellent verbal communication skills and good problem solving skills;
  
• Attention to detail.
