Purpose and Scope

• Perform safety audits and inspection of the Company’s worksites to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance.
  

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying and recommending best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices.
  
• Review procedures and equipment routinely to determine the adequacy or deficiencies and develop standard procedures.
  
• Assist HOD(HSSE) in advising management of compliance problems, recommend solutions and assure problems are resolved.
  
• Conduct or coordinate worker training in areas such as required by HSSE legislations.

• Assist / Advice our Company’s site management team to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
  
• Investigate industrial accidents, near-miss incidents, and occupational injuries to determine causes, install preventive measures, and manage return-to-work activities.
  
• Provide technical advice, coaching, guidance, and mentoring to employees on safety initiatives and necessary changes.
  
• Assist in the assessment of safety related supplies/equipment to ensure that supplies and equipment meets the necessary HSSE needs.
  
• Work within the Company policy as outlined in the SDC Integrated Procedure Manual as well as related HSSE legislations.
  
• Perform other duties as assigned
  

Qualification, Skills and Experience:

• Degree in Environmental and Occupation Health &
  Safety or Specialist Diploma in WSH
  
• Registered WSH Officer with MOM and Registered ECO with NEA
  
• Experience as a safety auditor
  
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the construction industry
  
• Experience in the implementation of OHSAS 18001 or ISO 14001
  
• Familiar with the safety, health and environmental legislations as well as risk management procedure
  
• Only Singaporean
