Description

The Senior Chartering Manager is responsible for the successful proactive-managed market entry and commercial management of all business, as well as ensuring profitable growth, operational excellence, customer satisfaction, employee development and leadership, business development and customer relations and retention.

In the capacity of Senior Chartering Manager, the employee will be responsible for:

· Representdship Carriers internally and externally

· Growth of business in the South-East Asia market

· Legal compliance and commercial responsibility for all business conducted in areas assigned, and in line with corporate guidelines

· Business planning and development within assigned area of responsibility

· Bid tender control and responsibility

· Ensure excellence in all areas

· Ensure that corporate guidelines are implemented and followed by all staff

· Follow “Code of Conduct” and ensure same is followed by all staff

· Revenue and cost control, including supervisory control of the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable

· Monitor receivables (days outstanding) for own controlled business and regularly take measures to meet set targets (KPI’s)

Job Requirements

· Knowledge in international shipping and chartering

· Understanding of company strategy and products

· Understanding of company rules and guidelines

· Strong business development competency

· Ability to understand clients’ project shipping challenges and structure effective solutions

· Strategic planning, analytical and conceptual thinker, self-starter and team player

· Strong organizational skills (prioritize, plan, assign, control) and attention to detail are essential

· Customer focused, results oriented and performance driven

· Network and relationship building

· Communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to work under pressure
