WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, with expertise in interpreting complex datasets and providing actionable insights to drive business decisions. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for fostering a data-driven culture, developing analytical strategies, and implementing best practices to optimize data-informed decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities:

- Develop a deep understanding of Pelago's unique product offerings and business strategy to create tailored, scalable analytical solutions that directly influence product development and business outcomes.

- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Business, to identify analytical requirements and deliver meaningful insights.

- Design, develop, and maintain robust data models, reporting systems, automation, and interactive dashboards to track and communicate key performance metrics.

- Effectively communicate data-driven insights and provide strategic recommendations to senior management and stakeholders to drive business growth.

- Mentor and guide team members to foster professional development and strengthen a data-driven mindset throughout the organization.

WHAT EXPERTISE YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE?

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the skill to convert complex data into actionable insights through engaging narratives.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate productively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

- Proficient in SQL, Python, or other relevant programming languages used for data analysis.

- Advanced proficiency in data analytics, modeling, and visualization tools, such as Excel, Quicksight, or Metabase.

- Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced work environment.

- Prior experience in e-commerce or the travel industry is a preferred.

- Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience collaborating with product management teams is preferred.
