Senior Data Engineer (Datavault / Hashicorp) (Contract)

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain Data Vault architecture to support our data integration and warehousing initiatives.
  
• Develop ETL pipelines and data workflows using tools like [specific tools you use, e.G., Apache Airflow, Talend].
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data requirements.
  
• Implement and maintain HashiCorp Vault infrastructure for managing secrets and access controls.
  
• Ensure data security and compliance with regulatory requirements (e.G., GDPR, HIPAA).
  
• Optimize data infrastructure performance through monitoring, tuning, and scaling.
  
• Troubleshoot data-related issues and perform root cause analysis.
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;
  Master’s degree preferred.
  
• Proven experience 6 years as a Data Engineer or similar role in a data-centric environment.
  
• In-depth knowledge of Data Vault modeling principles and best practices.
  
• Hands-on experience with HashiCorp Vault or similar secrets management tools.
  
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and one or more ETL tools (e.G., Informatica, Talend, Apache NiFi).
  
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  
• Experience in SSIS, Control M, SQL Server, Powershell
  
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
  
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  
• Certification in Data Vault modeling or HashiCorp Vault administration.
  
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.G., Docker, Kubernetes).
  
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for data pipelines.
