Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of electrical design engineers and designers looking at their development and work scheduling.
  
• Propose, negotiate, and agree with the project manager on work packages, scope, efforts, and duration for each project.
  
• Provide technical and program-level support and guidance to the team.
  
• Ensure that adequate design reviews are conducted for design improvement.
  
• Align and harmonize processes and milestone deliverables.
  
• Ensure that design verifications and validations are carried out with the assistance of relevant system engineers to confirm designs.
  
• Understand project goals and considerations, and make necessary compromises between timeline, quality, and budget.
  
• Ensure timely completion of the team’s deliverables for each work package, project milestones, and tender proposals, staying within budget using both technical engineering and administrative skills.
  
• Create and maintain technical documentation to ensure efficient planning and execution.
  

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical &
  Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent
  
• Experience in leading a team of between 3-5 engineers.
  
• Strong coordination, organisation, teaming and communication abilities.
  
• Knowledge of Basic microcontroller programming, PCB design, PLC, power electronics, wireless communication, motors and actuators.
  
• Ability to prioritise, make decisions and execute tasks in an ever-changing environment.
  
• Technical knowledge to work with electrical and Software architecture.
  
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
