Senior Network Engineer-7k-8k @ Fintech Company

Position Summary

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to develop and maintain functional and secure networks. You will mentor and lead a small team of Network engineers to troubleshoot and optimize our networks for supporting various Fintech products and services.

In this role, you should have excellent problem-solving skills and thorough knowledge of network administration and architecture. If you’re also passionate about security and data protection, we’d like to meet you.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, Deploy, Implement and Support Network LAN/WAN infrastructure (MPLS, ISP and ISDN)
  
• Work with various stakeholders within and across the organization on analyzing the requirements for Network infrastructure, VOIP/Desktop/Video connectivity to design &
  create effective Network Solutions
  
• Create, oversee and test security measures (e.G. access authentication and disaster recovery)
  
• Implement configurations in accordance to the organization’s change management policies and procedures
  
• Design network related proof of concepts and configuration to Application Support teams for implementation.
  
• Track the refresh of End-of-Life Network related hardware/software solutions and platforms
  
• Able to be on 24/7 standby roster on a rotational basis within the team to handle support issues
  

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or relevant technology disciplines, with at least 5 years of working experience in Network engineering role in a medium to large sized organization
  
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification preferred
  
• In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.G. BGP, OSPF)
  
• Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.G. SolarWinds network tools)
  
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification preferred
  
• Strong domain knowledge in VOIP, BGP, IPSEC and EIGRP
  
• Familiar with Cisco routers and switches (Nexus and Catalyst), Checkpoint, Palo Alto, McAfee and Fortinet firewalls.
  
• In-depth understanding of IT Infrastructure;
  network &
  server system monitoring, change and configuration management
  
• Prior experience in implementation of large scale Network solutions in the in the payments industry would be highly advantageous
