As a senior member of the Marketing &
Communications team, you are an experienced and driven individual who will be responsible for the development of corporate and media communications strategies to position e2i as the leading organisation for employment and employability solutions in Singapore. As a Media Relations Specialist, you will work closely with the Deputy Director to manage and enhance the public image and reputation of our organisation through strategic media outreach and communication. You will proactively engage media outlets, journalists, and internal stakeholders to craft compelling stories, press releases, and pitches, ensuring positive coverage and effective messaging. Your role will involve building and nurturing relationships with media contacts, monitoring media coverage, and responding to inquiries to maintain a favourable public perception. You will also collaborate and build strong partnerships between internal and external stakeholders, to deliver effective branding, corporate communications, and marketing communications campaigns.


Job Responsibilities


  • Develop and implement media relations strategies to promote e2i’s organisational objectives and initiatives.
  • Create impactful narratives and compelling content to promote e2i’s suite of programmes and services, including crafting media materials, profile stories and videos tailored for diverse audiences such as the media, public and partners.
  • Lead the development and execution of public relations plans, including preparing media materials such as press releases and speeches, facilitating media interviews, and providing media responses and interview talking points.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with media representatives to enhance e2i’s brand visibility and recall.
  • Monitor media coverage and social media channels to track public sentiment and identify opportunities for engagement.
  • Collaborate closely with other business units to integrate media communications initiatives within marketing strategies and campaigns, especially for key events and programmes.
  • Refine Crisis Communications Management by anticipating potential issues and developing communications plans to effectively manage crises and issues as they arise.


Job Requirements


  • Degree in Marketing, Mass Communications and Business or related fields.
  • Minimum 6-9 years of relevant experience in Branding, Corporate Communications, Digital Marketing or Marketing Communications and/or Public Relations.
  • Proven track record in account management, providing strategic guidance to internal stakeholders on their branding, marketing &
    communications needs and strategies.
  • Ability to craft clear and impactful messages tailored to diverse target audiences.
  • A team player, with strong interpersonal skills to foster stakeholder networks and relationships.
  • Resourceful self-starter with drive, resilience, and adaptability.
  • Effective persuasion and people management abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, while collaborating with cross-departmental teams.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with great attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in crisis communications management and communications strategy development.
  • Excellent writing and copy-editing abilities.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
