Our Client:
We are working with a semiconductor technology design and manufacturing company that specializes in developing integrated optoelectronic solutions for various applications. Their technology enables the integration of multiple functions into a single chip, resulting in cost-effective, compact, and high-performance products. They are seeking to hire a Senior Reliability Engineer for their Product Engineering Team in Singapore.

The main duties will be to develop and execute detailed test plans and reports, create new reliability test procedures, perform statistical data analysis, assess design risks, identify failure modes, and provide design recommendations to enhance product reliability. Collaborate with various teams to communicate results and recommendations.

The Responsibilities:

• Execute product-level qualification and reliability testing programs in compliance with industry standards and customer specifications
  
• Conduct reliability tests, analyze data, present findings, and write technical reports
  
• Participate in Design of Experiments, troubleshoot, and devise solutions for reliability test failures
  
• Interface with Design, Test, Fab, Assembly/Packaging, assembly vendors, and customers
  
• Conduct studies to gather new technology reliability information and develop roadmaps for component selection and design improvements
  
• Perform simulations and design analysis throughout the Development Life Cycle, including FEA, Thermal, and Vibration
  
• Integrate reliability principles and conduct reliability investigations to optimize system reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety
  
• Develop and maintain reliability engineering processes and procedures
  
• Perform modeling and analysis related to reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety of systems, including FMECA, RCA, and RCM
  
• Conduct board-level reliability testing, including Mechanical Stress Tests, Shock/Drop/Vibration Testing, and Environmental Testing
  
• Provide technical support for Failure Analysis using various analytical techniques
  
• Utilize fundamental failure analysis methodology to determine root causes of failures
  
• Apply industry test standards (JEDEC, ASTM, IEEE) and methodologies such as DOE and FMEA
  
• Lead DFQR and DFT activities during the product design stage and conduct product quality and reliability validation (QRV) and ongoing monitoring (OQRM)
  
• Develop test programs for PCBA card reliability tests and review test logs
  
• Collaborate with other teams and manufacturing vendors to identify and address quality and reliability gaps
  
• Lead and support teams of technicians and engineers, providing guidance and training
  

The Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent
  
• At least 5 years of experience in reliability engineering
  
• Experience in failure analysis
  
• Understanding of semiconductor physics
  
• Strong knowledge of statistical models and data analysis
  
• Effective communication skills with a variety of stakeholders
  
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize demands, and solve problems decisively
  
• Critical thinking skills and adaptability to dynamic environments
  
• Strong engineering fundamentals and data analysis skills (e.G., JMP, MATLAB, Python)
