The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team of researchers developing integrated photonics devices for quantum technologies, including superconducting nanowire single-photon detectors (SNSPDs), nonlinear/quantum photonic components based on thin-film lithium niobate, and heterogeneously integrated functional devices. This work will lead to exciting applications in cutting-edge technologies such as quantum information processing and photonic computing.
The roles of the successful candidate will include:

  • Fabrication of integrated photonic devices, including performing lithography, etching, material growth, and imaging in cleanrooms
  • Optimization of growth and fabrication process for superconducting detectors
  • Performing basic optical/electronic characterization

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, physics, applied physics, mechanical engineering, material science, or other relevant fields
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in (or strong willingness to learn) nano/micro-fabrications
  • Basic knowledge of optics and photonics
  • Basic programming skills (e.G., Python)
  • Hands-on experience in the characterization of electronic/photonic devices is desirable
