NTU Centre of IT Services is a centralized unit within Nanyang Technological University (NTU) that provides a wide range of IT Systems support, operations and administrative services to various departments and units within the university. Its primary goal is to streamline and optimize processes, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver high-quality services to support NTU's core mission of education and research.
The Technical Lead, Sharepoint, at NTU's Centre of IT Services leads and delivers enterprise content management systems, ensuring high-quality support and service. This role involves enhancing service fulfillment through process redesign, automation, and system improvements, while managing operations and strategic initiatives. Additionally, the manager oversees IT Service Desk SLAs, collaborates with support teams for process improvements, and ensures compliance with established SLAs.
Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and teams to prioritize project requirements and resolve issues ensuring project objectives are met.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for the service, facilitating customer enablement activities.
  • Responsible for the supervision of support service and ensure all operations commitments are met.
  • Proactively recommend system improvements based on known challenges and anticipated future state of the organization's direction.
  • Working and collaborating in a cross-functional team environment to solve problem.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders and analyze inputs for system improvements.
  • Identify improvement opportunities through process re-design, automation development or system improvements.
  • Conduct regular access reviews and audits to ensure compliance with security policies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of access control procedures, work instructions and system configurations
  • Manage customer feedback and ensure issues are resolved promptly and effectively.


Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Software Engineering.
  • At least 5 years' experience in Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Able to design and develop an intranet portal collaboration site with custom branding on SharePoint or using the Live Tiles solution.
  • Able to create new landing pages, department-specific templates/pages, newsletters, banners, and mobile friendly videos.
  • Experience in designing, deploying, packaging, and managing new intranet portal sites and SharePoint sites.
  • Proficiency in developing website designs using SharePoint's out-of-the-box features, UI extensions, page layouts, themes, and display templates with SharePoint Framework (SPFx).
  • Proficiency in developing responsive pages suitable for all devices using HTML5, JavaScript, TypeScript, jQuery, CSS, SQL, Bootstrap, or other responsive design frameworks.
  • Knowledge of using migration solutions such as Sharegate, Quest, or Metalogix for data migration from SharePoint Online to SP 2010/2013/2016.
  • Proficiency in coding, scripting and automation using Bash or PowerShell will be an advantage.
  • Microsoft 365 Certification or other relevant Microsoft certification will be an advantage.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
