Senior Technology Lead - Elite Buy-Side Firm

Our client, a leading buy-side firm, is seeking an experienced Technology Manager to oversee their technology initiatives and drive innovation within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background within the financial industry, along with proven leadership and management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership:
  Provide strategic direction and guidance for technology projects, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  
• Team Management:
  Lead and mentor a team of developers, engineers, and IT professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  
• Project Management:
  Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  
• System Architecture:
  Design and implement scalable and reliable technology solutions, with a strong emphasis on C# and AWS.
  
• Innovation and Improvement:
  Continuously evaluate and improve existing systems and processes, leveraging new technologies and best practices.
  
• Stakeholder Collaboration:
  Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, product managers, and executives, to understand requirements and deliver effective technology solutions.
  
• Compliance and Security:
  Ensure all technology solutions comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and security protocols.
  

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Technical Expertise:
  
  

1. Proficiency in C# and .NET framework.
   
2. Extensive experience with AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFormation.
   
3. Strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.
   

• Leadership Experience:
  
  

1. Proven track record of leading and managing technology teams.
   
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
   

• Project Management:
  
  

1. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
   
2. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
   

• Education:
  
  

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
   

• Experience:
  
  

1. Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development and technology management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
   
2. Experience in the financial services industry, particularly in a buy-side firm, is highly desirable.
   

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications in AWS (e.G., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer).
  
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
  
• Knowledge of other programming languages and technologies (e.G., Python, JavaScript, SQL).
  
• Familiarity with data analytics and machine learning.
