As the Head of Digital Marketing, you will report to the Head of Business Development &
Digitalisation in MSIG Asia. You will play a pivotal role in driving digital marketing strategies and initiatives focusing on the Southeast Asia and Oceania markets to lead the region toward its goals. You will be responsible for developing and executing integrated initiatives, leveraging various tactics to develop new customers and retain existing ones. It is crucial to implement measures in close collaboration with our business entities in the region and our Head Office in Japan.




Key Responsibilities


  1. Digital Marketing Strategy Development and Execution:
    Develop and execute comprehensive regional digital marketing strategies aligned with business objectives and market trends. Identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and competitive advantage. The strategies include but are not limited to the development of campaign calendars, campaign design, leveraging marketing analytics such as funnel tracking and campaign performance, and end-to-end reporting and tracking.
  2. Data Strategy Development and Execution:
    As an enabler and a subset of the digital marketing strategy, to develop and execute regional marketing data strategies, which include but are not limited to leveraging Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Customer Data Platform (CDP), data mart, customer and marketing analytics, and campaign automation.
  3. Team Leadership and Management:
    Lead and manage the marketing team in the regional office to effectively develop and execute the regional digital marketing strategies. Align with senior management and the technology team in the regional office.
  4. Cross-border Leadership and Collaboration:
    Align and collaborate with senior management in the region such as the CEOs of our business entities in each country. Lead and collaborate with marketing teams in the business entities of the region to accelerate the execution of the digital marketing strategies. Assess and identify areas to improve the marketing capabilities of the teams in the entities. Support the delivery of global marketing initiatives driven by our Head Office in Japan in line with the global marketing plan.
  5. Project Ideation and Planning:
    Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation for projects associated with marketing such as CRM adoption. Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, scope, and objectives.
  6. Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:
    Ensure all activities comply with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.


Key Requirements


  • 7+ years of experience working within a similar role in digital marketing strategy in any consumer products and services industry is required
  • Understanding of insurance marketing principles, trends, and regulatory requirements is preferred
  • Knowledge of and ability to leverage on marketing techniques/frameworks such as STP, marketing mix, AISAS, marketing funnel tracking, etc.
  • Analytical ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions, including knowledge of Google Analytics and business intelligence
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement innovative digital strategies
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills to effectively communicate with clients/colleagues/service providers
  • Willingness to take personal ownership of and responsibility for the role
  • Ability to feed ideas/suggestions to the team
  • Self-motivated, can work in a team and able to adapt to deadlines
  • Follows through on issues and ensures that deadlines are adhered to in an organised, precise, and methodical manner, ensuring that relevant details are not overlooked
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and lead cross-functional projects
  • Good experience with Microsoft Office applications with strong PowerPoint skills
