Job Summary:
As a Marine Company Service Engineer specializing in navigation systems, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support, commissioning services, and maintaining strong client relationships across South-East Asia. Your expertise will ensure the reliable performance and operational readiness of our navigation products, supporting our mission to enhance maritime safety and efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Customer Support and Service:
    Deliver high-quality customer support, focusing on commissioning, troubleshooting, and servicing our navigation product range in South-East Asia.
  • Workshop Testing and Preparation:
    Conduct thorough workshop tests and technical preparations to ensure all systems meet performance standards before deployment.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    Generate detailed service reports, update drawings, maintain cable information databases, and manage relevant documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Remote and Backend Support:
    Provide remote guidance and technical support to customers, as well as backend support to the service team, ensuring prompt resolution of issues.
  • Technical Assistance to Sales:
    Assist the sales department by addressing technical queries and handling pre- and post-work administrative tasks to support sales efforts effectively.
  • Ad-hoc Duties:
    Undertake additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned to support operational efficiency and team objectives.


Qualifications and Experience:


  • Minimum Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
  • Proven experience with ship navigation systems, demonstrating strong technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills in maritime environments.
  • Previous experience in the maritime industry is preferred, with familiarity of regulatory standards and operational challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and internal teams.
  • Ability to work independently with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Flexibility to undertake occasional travel within South-East Asia and adapt to varying work environments as needed.
