Shopify Developer (1 Year Contract)

The Shopify Developer will be responsible for all aspects of creating and maintaining our e-commerce portal on the Shopify platform. The role encompasses delivering a seamless e-commerce journey and safeguarding the platform's security and performance.

Roles &
Responsibilities

1. Create and Optimize e-commerce portal and mobile development on Shopify Platform

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements related to e-commerce functionality
  
• Customize and extend Shopify themes, templates, add-ons and plugins to enhance the customer experience
  
• Optimize website performance, responsiveness, and user interface (UI) elements
  
• Implement Click &
  Mortar business, including Shopify POS
  

2. Integrate Third-Party Services

• Integrate Shopify store with external systems (e.G., membership, payment gateways, inventory management, CRM)
  
• Ensure seamless data flow between Shopify and other platforms
  

3. Front-End Development

• Implement responsive designs using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  
• Create and maintain UI components, product pages, and checkout flows
  
• Collaborate with designers to translate wireframes and mock-ups into functional Shopify pages
  

4. Back-End Development

• Customize Shopify Liquid templates to meet specific business requirements
  
• Develop custom Shopify apps or scripts using Shopify APIs
  
• Manage product catalogues, collections, and inventory
  

5. Quality Assurance and Testing

• Conduct thorough testing of Shopify features, including cross-browser compatibility, performance, and security
  
• Address any issues promptly and ensure a bug-free user experience
  

6. Documentation and Training

• Document customizations, configurations, and development processes
  
• Provide training to content managers and other team members on Shopify best practices
  

7. Collaboration and Communication

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, marketers, and project managers
  
• Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions effectively
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Shopify Developer or similar role in an e-commerce environment
  
• Proficiency in Shopify development, including Liquid templating, app development, theme customization, Hydrogen, Oxygen and the Storefront API
  
• Proficient in Mobile App Development
  
• Strong front-end skills, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design
  
• Experience with version control systems (e.G., Git)
  
• Strong project management, problem-solving and analytical abilities
  
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
