Site Engineer (Projects/Subcon)

Summary:

We are looking for candidates to join our Sportscape division. The Site Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the execution of construction projects, ensuring compliance with specifications, and maintaining quality standards throughout the construction process. Candidates must be well-versed in AutoCad (2D).

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the manager and design team to review project plans, specifications, and technical drawings.
  
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of subcontractors, suppliers, and construction workers on-site.
  
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
  
• Implement and enforce site safety protocols, including conducting safety briefings and ensuring compliance with relevant safety regulations.
  
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including daily progress reports, site diaries, and as-built drawings.
  
• Monitor project schedules and budgets, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions as necessary to ensure project success.
  
• Coordinate material procurement, delivery, and inventory management to support project timelines and minimize delays.
  
• Resolve technical issues and provide engineering support to resolve construction-related challenges.
  
• Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, to ensure alignment and resolve issues promptly.
  
• Participate in project meetings, providing updates on site progress, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
  
• Assist in the commissioning and handover of completed projects to clients, ensuring all documentation and quality standards are met.
  
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continually improve project delivery processes and outcomes.
  

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in the field of Civil or Structural Engineering or Electrical Engineering / Construction Management.
  
• Proven experience as a Site Engineer or similar role in the construction industry, preferably in sportscape projects.
  
• Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
  
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and construction plans.
  
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  
• Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and best practices in construction safety.
  
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
