Site Reliability Engineer

Seeking a skilled Senior Linux Systems Engineer to oversee and ensure the continuous operation of a high-performance trading infrastructure. This role involves addressing day-to-day operational needs and providing second-level support to maintain and enhance our robust trading systems.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the continuous operation of our Linux-based trading infrastructure, addressing daily operational needs.
  
• Provide second-level support, including:
  Rapid emergency response.
  Implementation of scheduled updates and deployments.
  In-depth performance analysis and issue resolution.
  
• Participate in a rotational on-call schedule, including early mornings and weekends, to provide timely support.
  
• Contribute to the development of automated solutions for server provisioning, configuration, and monitoring, aiming for scalable management of thousands of servers.
  
• Collaborate with Trading and Core Engineering teams.
  
• Manage essential Core services such as DHCP, LDAP, DNS, and NFS for both on-premises and cloud-based data centers.
  
• Engage in on-call rotation and occasional weekend shifts to ensure 24/7 support.
  

Qualifications:

• Strong expertise in Linux production environments.
  
• Basic knowledge of Python and Bash scripting.
  
• Experience with automation and monitoring tools.
  
• Comprehensive knowledge of operating system principles, particularly Linux internals.
  
• Familiarity with Intel-based server hardware and components.
  
• Competence in server-side networking, including understanding network protocols and configurations.
  
• Familiarity with cloud services and architectural solutions.
  
• Proven experience in designing, building, and troubleshooting complex systems.
  
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a methodical approach to technical challenges.
  
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Strong sense of ownership and drive.
