Job Summary:
Provides server administration and operations maintenance

Job Responsibilities

• Administer and support servers and databases.
  
• Review and log batch job failures daily.
  
• Review security, system, and application event logs daily.
  
• Perform annual OS/Web Server/SQL hardening.
  
• Handle system administration and change requests (e.G., program migration, deployment).
  
• Compile reports on system capacity, database growth, and change requests.
  
• Review and recommend monthly security patches for deployment.
  
• Conduct preventive maintenance and housekeeping for servers.
  
• Refresh QA environment data for UAT testing.
  
• Update technical and operations documentation.
  
• Troubleshoot operational and interface issues.
  
• Explore new technologies and conduct proof-of-concept tests.
  
• Perform DR server recovery and verification.
  
• Support new or enhancement projects.
  

Job Requirements

• Experience in administration of Windows server 2016/2019, Linux operating systems and MSSQL 2012/2016.
  
• Proficient in Windows Active Directory 2016/2019, DNS and familiar with WOG desktop environment.
  
• Apply concepts of IT Service Management (Incident, Change, Service, Release and Configuration).
  
• Understand concepts of IM8 and hardening of operating systems, web servers and databases.
  
• Experience in SharePoint administration is a plus.
  
• Proficient in software – CA Workload Automation and Application Programming Interface (API) (will be an added advantage).
