Systems Programmer

We are seeking a highly experienced SYSTEMS PROGRAMMER with over 10 years in Information Technology, specializing in the financial industry, including Credit Card, Banking, and Insurance sectors. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in COBOL programming and extensive experience in all phases of the systems development life cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

1. SYSTEMS PROGRAMMER and Implementation:

- Design, code, and implement application systems based on business requirements, specializing in Polisy/400, LIFE/400, SMART/400, and Business Objects.

- Handle all phases of system development, from data gathering, solution design, coding, testing, UAT support, deployment, and production support.

2. Project Management:

- Lead and manage major projects, including Corporate Travel Enhancement, Maid Insurance Claims Enhancement, Setup of New Product Credit Insurance, Merimen Claims Automation, Bank Migration for Payments, Home Policy Revamp, and Bond Product Setup.

- Provide secondary production support for PolisyAsia.

3. ETL and Data Migration:

- Design ETL processes, including mapping, data cleansing, and harmonization for ODS and other data migration projects.

- Ensure accurate and complete data migration from legacy systems to new platforms, particularly SAP Insurance Systems.

4. Production Support:

- Offer day-to-day support for operational systems and business-as-usual (BAU) activities.

- Fix production defects and provide high-level estimates for project enhancements.

5. Client and Vendor Coordination:

- Collaborate with clients and vendors to ensure project requirements are met and deliverables are completed on time.

- Engage with users to gather information and expectations for system enhancements.

Qualifications:

- Experience:
Minimum of 10 years in IT, with a focus on the financial industry. Extensive experience in COBOL programming and insurance systems like Polisy/400, LIFE/400, and SMART/400.

- Skills:
Strong expertise in COBOL, ETL design, data migration, and project management. Proficiency in IT tools such as Eclipse, JIRA, Jenkins, and SQL Developer.

- Certifications:
Relevant IT certifications are a plus.
