The Product Designers we really want to hire deliver real value to real users. In other words, they design stuff that gets built. To be considered, a detailed portfolio demonstrating your design thinking and thought process is required at application.
What you'll be doing
We have a large and complex product ecosystem spanning 6 countries and a team of 60 people from 20 different countries. Both need a visionary, decisive Principal Designer to lead the way and lead by example, hands-on. This role is a member of the Globesend team where we are on a mission to revolutionise cross-border payments. As the Product Designer for the team, one of your goals is to evangelise the importance and impact of design and take calculated risks with all eyes on you. So, yes, we are looking for an almost mythical creature.

Here's what your week might look like

• You'll probably start your week by checking in with the teams or in conjunction with key project team members.
• You can gasp complex product concepts quickly which is important to engage with business stakeholders.
• Once you know where you're going, it's time to tackle the behemoth tech systems and product, journey complexities of a bank. Your product manager will become your best friend. You'll message the tech lead more than your parents. You'll get a crash course in finance.
• You are strategic in your approach to design. You are good in identifying a product key interaction and turn it into a signature experience while equally comfortable with creating user flows, wireframes, or a prototype for user testing.
• Speaking of the big picture, you'll conduct discovery activities to define high level user stories;
  identifying key features and capabilities needed with our stakeholders.
• Conduct and communicate research findings, design rationale effectively with data with product analytics data or user testing with end users. We want to hire people who have opinions, believe in their ideas and are willing to fight for them. But we also want people who can recognise when a better argument or solution is put before them. All of us participate in user testing, and so will you.
• We want to encourage our team to share their work more, and we would love you to lead some of those sessions.
• You will also need to engage in design reviews at the executive level, guiding our stakeholders so that the feedback we get is about the problems, not solutions.

• You are a designer wearing multiple hats. You have demonstrated the ability to understand business and technology while able make design simpler to understand for your partners.
• You can brainstorm the next big thing one moment and still tweak pixels right before launch.
• You have demonstrated an ability to make structure out of ambiguous situations and set a clear pathway for the team to unpack and untangle interconnected problems and translate the vision into tangible outputs.
• You can talk confidently and clearly about design and build lasting relationships with our stakeholders.
• You have 10+ years of experience in interaction design.

Your team and career
This role sits within the Institutional Banking Group design team, and is based in Singapore. The team is tasked to deliver best in class customer experience in the digital product journeys for retail and wealth customer segments. You will report to the Head of Design, Institutional Banking Group.
