Job Position:
Accountant


We are currently looking for a committed, highly capable Accountant to join the finance team for a full-time role in a busy and growing company. The Accountant should be taking the ownership of responsibilities, be self-motivated and methodical approach to duties and responsibilities. A team player. This role will be reporting to the Regional Finance Manager / Managing Director.




Key duties and responsibilities


· Maintain full sets of accounts, including month-end closing.


· Responsible for the preparation of monthly financial statements, management accounts and analysis of financial performance, financial planning and analysis, forecasts and budgets.


· Conduct costing functions such as standard cost amortization, variance analysis, cost summary review, etc.


· Review month end routines including processing and review of postings, ad hoc manual journal entries and system generated month end accruals from outstanding purchase orders, etc


· Comply with IFRS for financial statements


· Liaise with internal and external auditors, tax agents, and other statutory bodies to ensure compliance with matters relating to audit, tax and statutory requirements.


· Improving, automating and upskilling financial planning &
analysis initiatives / implementations involving processes, systems and structures.


· Responsible for developing a complete account/territory strategy, creating an account/territory plan, and executing account/territory plan.


· Assist in preparing consolidation of group financial statements and ensure accurate, timely financial and management reporting


· Support any tax related matter, compliance of the Company and timely submission.


· Any other duties as assigned.




Required Skills:


· Degree in Accounting or an equivalent professional qualification (ACCA/CPA).


· Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance and accounting, including at least 2 years of experience in chemical/manufacturing industry.


· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal


· Comfortable working in an aromatic environment


· Ability to work without supervision in a busy environment, working to tight deadlines.




Preferred Skills/Competencies:


· Creative problem-solving skills and ability to work with strict deadlines


· Knowledge and application of sales techniques such as building rapport needs/values selling, negotiating, and closing the sale.


· Ability to work both independently and / or within a team environment


· Multi-tasking, prioritisation and effective time management skills


· Experience in the chemical manufacturing industry is a plus.
