BUSINESS AND INDUSTRY CONSULTANT:
FOR JAPANESE FOOD &
BEVERAGE
The Consultant in business and industry solve problems. He/She usually has a field of expertise that allows him/her to work for specific businesses. He/She works on a specific assignment for a period of time. He/She studies problems and recommend solutions. He/She meets with companies whose organisations need expert advice. These organisations search for Consultants with the skills and experience that will benefit their company.
He/She seeks to understand the clients' requirements before proposing a new business model for improvement. He/She designs systems and procedures. He/She conducts work simplification and measurement studies. He/She prepares operations and procedures manuals to assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively. He/She helps to improve organizations by assessing weaknesses and recommending solutions.
He/She must collect information and identify the problems. He/She submits proposals that explain how his/her expertise can help the company meet their goals. He/She presents this information to the company. He/She also presents solutions to the company's problems. If the company accepts the solutions, he/she puts them into effect.
- Analyze and evaluate current systems and structures.
- Develop objectives, strategies and plans aimed at achieving customer satisfaction and the efficient use of organisations' resources.
- Interview personnel and conduct on-site observation to ascertain unit functions, work performed and methods, equipment and personnel used.
- Prepare and recommend proposals to revise methods and procedures, alter work flows, redefine job functions and resolve organisational problems.
- Record and analyse organisations’ work flow charts, records, reports, manuals and job descriptions.
At least 10 years of experience strictly in Japanese F&
B industry.
Knowledge of Japanese dialects is essential to manage Japanese suppliers (for purchasing of fresh food ingredients from Japan) and customers (hosting and serving Japanese tour groups at F&
B outlet).
