BASIC FUNCTION:


Primarily responsible for spearheading the branch’s marketing efforts, establishment of agency tie-up arrangements for the arrangement of sales target;
is the chief salesperson of the branch’s various products and services, actively calling on existing and potential clients to ensure the branch’s profitability. Personally markets for new accounts and designs ways to achieve business plan targets and cross sells the bank’s other retail products and services.




DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


GENERAL BUSINESS GENERATION


1. Promotes the good image of the bank as an efficient and customer service-oriented bank worthy of client's patronage by:


- Actively endorsing the bank's products and services to others;


- Positivelyrepresenting the bank in the community;


- Promptly responding to the queries or complaints of all loan clients.




2. Maintains direct contact with potential clients and continues to nurture the relationships to encourage them to use our services.


3. Develops systematic and comprehensive marketing strategies, along with the General Manager to increase customers' loyalty and convert contacts to clients and create opportunities to promote the bank's services to untapped communities.


4. Conducts marketing studies, including preparation and update of relevant statistical information like number of Filipino population in Singapore and nearby areas, where they are located, client's profile (e.G. age, gender, occupation, etc.).




Credit Functions


1. Leads in the implementation of strategies to reach target markets for loans and reports outcome to General Manager.


2. Promptly and professionally acts on all requests/proposals for credit in order to promote and maintain a favorable image of the bank;
communicates with the loan applicants the required data, supporting documents, and reports as soon as possible so that analysis and evaluation of the proposal/request can be expedited.


3. Prior to securing the requisite approvals, ensures that:


a. The Bank is in possession of adequate credit information to properly evaluate risks that may be undertaken;


b. Appropriate avenues of credit investigation have been explored and the results of these investigation and analysis have been summarized in the loan recommendation;


c. A sufficiently detailed credit analysis has been completed to include a written analysis of the financial condition of the borrower;


d. Full disclosure of credit information essential to the proper evaluation of risks relative to the credit has been made, whether positive or negative;
and


e. Proposed extension of credit fully meets the standards of purpose and quality as set forth in the policy guidelines.




4. Accountable and responsible for the overall performance of the accounts assigned to him from-


■ Approval of credit accommodation in accordance with terms of the approval and the bank's policies and guidelines and any changes thereon;


■ Completionof loan documentation before loan is released, i.E., all documents necessary to implement the loan approval are complete and have executed by the Borrowers/Mortgagors/Assignors/Pledgors/their duly authorized representatives;


Thus, under no circumstances should the Credit Officer allow a loan to be implemented without the submission/completion of all required documentation.


■ Monitoring of status of assigned accounts (borrower's activities and financial conditions) on a continuing basis to be documented in all call reports and file memos.


■ Identification of problem loans as early as so that loans can be placed on the watch list and workout/restructuring can be initiated.


■ Collection and renewal of credits at maturity or timely referral of past due accounts to the branch’s legal counsel or Head Office Legal Group.




5. Reviews reports on maturing obligations of borrowers and prepares/sends timely collection letter/reminders.


6. Analyzes financial statements and evaluates credit worthiness of loan applicants.


7. Prepares requests for credit investigations to Head Office Credit Division/local credit bureaus;
conducts client visits/inspections from time to time.


8. Coordinates with Head Office Lending Unit on submission of supporting documents and/or responses to queries of Head Office lending committees.


9. Prepares requests for necessary insurance coverage thru the selected/designated insurance provider.


10. Assists the General Manager in the preparation of periodic reports to MAS and Head Office.


11. Formulates written policies and procedures related to marketing functions as required by management.


12. Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time.




Deposits


1. Aggressively promote the deposit products of the branch to perspective clients through flyer distribution, house calls and presentations in community gatherings.


2. Monitors levels of deposits to gauge effectiveness of marketing activities.


3. Answers queries of clients and counterparts related to the Bank products and services, including investments schemes.
