POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for electroplating Research &
Development associated with new or existing chemistries, instrumentation.

Provide technical support to the Plating Department laboratory, engineering and manufacturing activities.

To lead the plating laboratory section to resolve all chemical related issues.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

· Evaluate new chemical used for the plating process or activities.

· Develop chemical analysis techniques and method.

· To handle and document as required by company and governmental agencies procedures and regulations.

· To supervise associate engineer and technician on laboratory and DI waste treatment activities,

· Plan and organize preventative maintenance program for water treatment plant related activities,

· Plan and organize preventative maintenance program for scrubber, water treatment pumps, RO, Softener, ACF, E-Cell, pH meters, ORP meters and all sensors.

· Manage water treatment section to fulfill regulations of trade effluent discharging.

· Plan and organise preventative maintenance program for chemical related activities.

· To perform precious metal balance report.

· Analyze, investigate and /or otherwise solve manufacturing process issues related to chemical analysis.

· Assist in the development and maintain of laboratory methods/procedure and/or systems which comply with ISO or other applicable requirements.

· To purchase chemical from approved suppliers for usage in the plating manufacturing and laboratory section.

· To authorize for plating production line stoppage when chemical process or quality related issues occurred.

· Manage and monitor chemical consumption cost.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

· Degree in Science (Chemistry Engineering)

· Possess at least three years working experiences in related field

· Knowledge of process FMEA

· Demonstrate knowledge of chemical safety

· Demonstrate knowledge of chemistry, electrochemistry and analytical instrumentation for electrodeposition

· Demonstrate communications skill for interfacing with customer, internal engineering and manufacturing group

· Demonstrate ability to handle projects and follow them through to completion with minimum supervision

· Ability to train others in proper handling of chemicals and to perform chemical analysis

· Good interpersonal skills, strong technical background with analytical mind

· Self-motivator and ability to communicate well with level of staff and external contacts
