Job Details:


  • Participate in the creation of the company's strategy, strive towards its objectives, and conduct business in a way that upholds its principles.
  • Actively support effective communication on all matters pertaining to crewing, agencies, and the Maritime Union amongst all members of the company and its overseas subsidiaries.
  • Make sure there is a strong safety performance culture (Zero LTI) by conducting frequent vessel visits. Discuss, review, and suggest improvements to satisfy the company's requirements and the established ISM criteria.
  • Assist QHSE in monitoring and evaluating staffing levels.
  • Keep an eye on all crewing costs and take appropriate action when needed.
  • Communicate with local and foreign authorities and agencies about crewing and operational issues.
  • Daily oversee the APAC vessels while communicating crewing needs with Accounts, Purchasing, Technical, and other pertinent departments.
  • Track and follow up on master's crewing-related action items within APAC region's jurisdiction.
  • Emails, phone calls, and critical issues from the vessels and charterers should be responded to, prioritised, and handled appropriately.
  • Coordinate and settle issues on a range of crewing-related issues with internal and external contacts.
  • Answer on-demand questions and requests from customers, government connections, and businesses.
  • Carry out any additional tasks that may occasionally be allocated.
  • Attend to crew members' illnesses and injuries right away, then follow up.
  • When necessary, discuss crew personnel issues with the Next of Kin.
  • Start and oversee the development of officers in accordance with the suggestions made in the personnel evaluation report (PEV).
  • In order to find talent and keep crew members for the purpose of sustaining and enhancing APAC agencies and crewing officers on crew performance crewing standards, create progression plans for your crews.


Requirements:


  • In lieu of a degree, a diploma in maritime/nautical studies, human resources, or a similar discipline with more than seven years of relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree in those subjects with a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in crew management in the maritime sector
  • Gaining knowledge of offshore support vessels (OSV) would be advantageous.
  • Strong familiarity with pertinent marine laws and norms
  • Outstanding communication and organising abilities
  • Capacity to function well in a dynamic, fast-paced workplace
  • Familiarity with crew management software and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of the welfare and well-being concerns for the crew
  • Capacity to oversee several objectives and adhere to deadlines
  • Strong ability to solve problems and make decisions
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
