Hardware Development Intern

You will be involved in product research and development projects related to new chemical sensors and new measurement equipment through theory, design, modeling, simulation, prototyping, assembly, programming and testing.

You will be working with an excellent, international multidisciplinary team with backgrounds in chemistry, optics, materials, physics, data analytics, software, electronics, mechanical design and circuit design.

As an intern, you will have the exciting opportunity to gain practical skills and hands-on experience in the design, prototyping, and testing of cutting-edge hardware systems. You will be actively involved in hardware-software integration and the implementation of innovative features, including AI-enabled hardware and Internet-of-Things (IoT).

Your job responsibilities are stated as below:

• Assist in the design and development of advanced hardware systems and components.
  
• Create schematics and drawings using technical software.
  
• Conduct testing and analysis to ensure performance.
  
• Participate in troubleshooting and resolving hardware issues.
  
• Implement new functionalities such as IoT and AI-enabled hardware.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, mechanical and product testing.
  
• Document design processes and results for technical reviews.
  
• Support the team in preparing presentations and reports for stakeholders.
  

Requirements:

• Must work for at least 5 months’ full time
  
• Must be enrolled at a Polytechnic / University for the duration of the Internship in a course in Electrical &
  Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent
  
• Strong fundamentals in electronics, circuits and/or mechanical systems.
  
• Strong aptitude for learning and discovery.
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  
• Hands-on experience and hardware tinkering skills.
  
• Familiarity with design tools (CAD or PCB) is a plus.
  
• Excellent communication skills
  
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented and tight scheduling environment.
