Landscape Executive
Work Dynamics - Integrated Facilities Management
The Landscape Executive is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of landscape and horticultural operations within a commercial real estate portfolio. This role requires ensuring the aesthetic appeal, functionality, and health of the outdoor spaces are maintained to the highest standards. The Landscape Executive will work in collaboration with external vendors, internal stakeholders, and tenants to deliver exceptional landscapes that enhance the overall tenant experience and add value to the property.
Key Responsibilities
Landscape Maintenance:

  • Develop and implement landscape maintenance programs, schedules, and standard operating procedures.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and manage the daily activities of the landscape maintenance team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
  • Conduct regular inspections of landscapes to identify maintenance requirements, prioritize tasks, and ensure compliance with established standards.


Horticultural Practices:

  • Plan, select, and cultivate appropriate plant species based on local climate, soil conditions, and aesthetic requirements.
  • Assess and recommend appropriate fertilization, pest and disease control, irrigation, and pruning practices to maintain plant health and appearance.
  • Implement sustainable and environmentally friendly landscape management practices to minimize waste, conserve water, and promote biodiversity.


Project Management:

  • Coordinate and oversee landscape enhancement projects, renovations, and seasonal plantings to improve the aesthetics and functionality of outdoor spaces.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to develop project timelines, budgets, and specifications.
  • Monitor project progress, ensure compliance with design guidelines, and resolve any issues or challenges that arise.


Vendor Management:

  • Identify, evaluate, and select qualified landscape and horticultural vendors for different properties.
  • Supervise and manage vendor contracts, ensuring adherence to agreed-upon terms, service levels, and budgets.
  • Conduct regular vendor performance reviews and provide feedback for continuous improvement.


Budgeting and Reporting:

  • Assist in the development of annual landscape budgets, ensuring alignment with property objectives and financial targets.
  • Monitor and track expenses, review invoices, and provide accurate cost reports to support financial planning and forecasting.
  • Prepare regular reports and updates on landscape activities, maintenance activities, project progress, and key performance indicators.


Requirements

  • Diploma or ITC or market equivalent certifications in landscaping disciplines with minimum of 3 years' experience in supervision and management of landscape contractors and works in local context.
  • The LE shall have hands on experience and knowledge in identifying early signs of poor plant and tree health, pest infestation and bring to the attention of the Certified Arborist for further investigation. He or she should be capable to take samples for lab test or perform measurements with handheld instruments/sensors such moisture, PH etc. Where necessary, the LE shall perform minor or localized landscape improvement or cleaning works by supervising the handyman or cleaners where it's not practical for the Corporation to issue work orders to the FMC to call the landscape contractors in.
  • The LE shall perform the checks, supervise and validate the landscape maintenance and enhancement works.
