Position summary


The candidate will lead and drive the strategic management and protection of intellectual property assets within the organization. Responsibilities include developing IP strategies, managing IP portfolios, enforcing IP rights, negotiating licenses and agreements, conducting IP due diligence, developing internal policies, and promoting IP awareness. This role is pivotal in safeguarding and leveraging intellectual property to support business objectives and maintain competitive advantage. The candidate will require to work based in Singapore and Shanghai, China.




Core responsibilities


  • Responsible for drafting/reviewing patent application documents for new biological products, PCT patent applications, and responding to review comments.
  • Responsible for domestic and international product project searches, patent infringement analysis, patent early warning analysis, and participating in due diligence of intellectual property for new products introduction projects.
  • Establish and improve the company's intellectual property management system, policies, and processes.
  • Participate in domestic and international intellectual property invalidation, litigation, and dispute resolution.
  • Responsible for the application of domestic and international registered trademarks of the company and various platforms. Experience in applying for trademarks in China and overseas is required.




Role requirements


  • Master’s degree or above in biology-related field, with relevant biological knowledge. Doctorate preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in patent review, patent agency, or patent work in the pharmaceutical industry in the field of biological products, proficient in patent writing, search analysis, and experience in patent invalidation and litigation is preferred.
  • Fluent in spoken English, able to communicate with overseas institutions and foreign colleagues in English on patent-related work.
  • Clear logic, rigorous, proactive, and strong sense of responsibility.
