Reporting to the Director for Growth and Partnership, the Relations Manager (Growth) will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful management and delivery of sponsorship and membership services. This position is pivotal in fostering strong relationships and contributing to the overall growth and success of the association. It requires hands-on involvement, with emphasis on strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and meticulous attention to detail. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Sponsorship Management


· Oversee the execution of sponsorship agreements, ensuring all contractual obligations are met on time and to the sponsor's satisfaction.


· Ensure sponsors receive all promised benefits, such as logo placement, promotional opportunities, event participation, and access to members.


· Identify and secure sponsorship opportunities for events, programs, and initiatives.


· Develop and maintain relationships with sponsors, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.


· Create sponsorship packages and proposals tailored to potential sponsors’ interests and goals.


· Monitor and report on the effectiveness and return on investment of sponsorship activities.


· Monitor sponsors' entitlements and maintain a record of entitlement balances.


· Coordinate the delivery and utilisation of entitlements.


2. Membership Services


· Organise and manage member events and activities to foster community and networking opportunities.


· Monitor membership trends and feedback to inform improvements and new initiatives.


3. Relationship Building


· Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective sponsors and members.


· Act as the primary point of contact for sponsors and members, ensuring open and effective communication.


· Develop personalised engagement plans for key sponsors and members to enhance their experience and value.


4. Marketing and Communications


· Collaborate with the marketing team to promote sponsorship opportunities and member benefits.


· Coordinate with the marketing team to create and distribute communications and marketing materials related to sponsorship and membership programs.


5. Administrative Duties


· Maintain accurate records of sponsorship agreements and related documentation.


· Prepare regular reports on sponsorship and membership metrics.


· Ensure compliance with organisational policies and relevant regulations.


6. Strategic Planning


· Contribute to the development of long-term strategies for sponsorship.


· Collaborate with other departments to align sponsorship and membership initiatives with overall organisational goals.


7. Financial Management


· Develop and manage budgets for sponsorship and membership programs.


· Monitor financial performance and ensure activities stay within budget.


· Negotiate contracts and agreements with sponsors and service providers.




Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Event Management, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sponsorship management, membership services, fundraising, or related fields is typically required, especially for managerial roles.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in budget preparation and management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of the tech industry is a plus.
