Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare purchase orders and related documents using the MYOB system.
  
• Coordinate with requestors and suppliers throughout the purchasing process and monitor deliveries to ensure timely arrival.
  
• Address issues with vendor defects, shortages, and missing products.
  
• Coordinate with overseas suppliers and forwarders for incoming shipments and work with internal departments to complete declarations and payments.
  
• Maintain an approved supplier/vendor list, procurement master file, and relevant documents in both soft and hard copies.
  
• Manage and evaluate shipping forwarders' performance, fostering long-term relationships with high-performing forwarders.
  
• Benchmark shipping costs and negotiate deals with shipping forwarders.
  
• Collaborate with internal sales and logistics teams to ensure timely sharing of goods availability information.
  
• Negotiate credit payment terms with suppliers.
  
• Any ad-hoc duties as assigned.

• GCE O-Level/NITEC or equivalent
  
• Minimum 1-2 years of purchasing/procurement or shipping experience
  
• Proficiency in MYOB system would be an added advantage
  
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
