HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

In this role you will grow and lead the Franchise Data Engineering pod in Singapore. Serving as both the local manager and the Senior Developer &
Architect, you will oversee and balance between delivery and engineering excellence. This role reports to the regional head of Franchise Data Engineering team. As a manager, you will lead hiring and development of talent. As a technical lead, you will be expected to drive the design of critical components in the data platform stack as well as oversee the implementation of new features, focusing the team on data quality, reliability and reusability. Align BI methodology to the wider GS Data Engineering strategy and integrate BI tools with Data Engineering technical component servicing as end-to-end tool for curated BI datasets. You will be expected to contribute to the vision, understand BI roadmap and contribute to building an engineering culture within our global team. Our flat structure requires and enables team members to evolve through the entire spectrum of the full stack Business Intelligence role and closely collaborate with product owners, business and operations users. You must have a proficient understanding of data modelling concepts, especially data transformation, warehousing, creating business insights through curated data and visualization. We are looking for someone with lots of energy that enjoys engineering challenges and has a passion to deliver high quality technology solutions and is able to operate in a highly fluid, rapidly changing environment. Prior experience within the financial domain, and data engineering is a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Grow and Manage the Singapore team
  
• Design, build and maintain solutions to integrate Business Intelligence tools into GS infrastructure
  
• Apply analytical skills, knowledge and experience in decision-making to arrive at creative and commercial solutions
  
• Build out self-service tooling for non-Engineers/business users to work with BI tools providing solutions based on modern web technologies
  
• Implement solutions for entitlement management and provisioning automation.
  
• Provide integration to align BI tools to the wider GS Data Engineering strategy.
  
• Engage with stakeholders from other business areas to define and drive BI strategy
  
• Manage multiple tasks and use sound judgment when prioritizing
  
• Apply analytical skills, knowledge and experience in decision-making to arrive at creative and commercial solutions
